Self-published an art book for family members. Just ordered ten more copies for the Alicat Gallery. The cover is dark brown linen.
Just completed this 24X24 oil painting on canvas. I called it “Greens Done Right”. I first began plein-air painting at the Leighton Center in 1995, doing small watercolors, and occasionally, a pen and ink piece.
I loved to sit in the shade of the large trees, near the edge of the hill. In 2001, and accompanied by a client friend, I began painting small plein-air oils on board. Most of them were 8X10′s or 9X12′s, and I framed them in dark mouldings to give them the look of older, more traditional works. I kept three of these, and all of the remaining ones were sold. The client generously purchased thirty of my paintings from various galleries; and I encouraged her to purchase the works of other artists as well. My most recent 8X10 plein-air oils are at the Alicat gallery.
