Started these new pieces in February and finished the last one on Thursday. They are all large acrylics, the smallest being 24 “X24″. I will be at the downtown Stephen Lowe art gallery,( in Bow Valley Square), Calgary,gallery on Thursday June 7th and Friday June 8th(11:00 to 2:00). Hope you can stop by and say hello.
A new 60×48 acrylic on canvas.
These are both 48X48 acrylics on canvas for an upcoming exhibition in June.
Started the new year by creating two new acrylics, a 36×36 and a 24×60. Am working towards finishing fifteen new paintings by the first of June.
Have always loved the shapes of the cottonwood trees in Fish Creek Park. These had a particularly nice rhythm. While painting here one afternoon in autumn I met an interesting fellow who chatted to me from the beginning to the end of the plein air piece. He didn’t even realize what I was doing. And if he did, he didn’t comment.
Christmas is quickly approaching and easel time is limited. I managed to finish another 24X24 acrylic and have started another. Time will tell whether or not it can be finished before Christmas.
