This piece was commissioned by a lovely couple from Toronto, who now reside in Calgary. Really enjoyed meeting with them at the West Market Square gallery location. Was so happy I could make their vision come to life for them.
Recent Sale
This piece, entitled West of Turner Valley was recently sold at the downtown location, by Stephen Lowe Gallery. I have ten paintings at the West Market Square location for our spring exhibition which opens this Saturday, April 18th. This is a new selection of contemporary landscapes in varied sizes.
Artwork in Context
After completing this 48×48 acrylic, and delivering it to the gallery, it was sold quite quickly. As I hadn’t even seen it framed or installed, I often wondered what it looked like in it’s new location.

Westward View Autumn
This is the largest horizontal painting in the spring exhibition, measuring 24×72. This range of mountains is one that can be seen from so many locations in and around Calgary. So much fun painting the rhythms of the foothills.

The warm hazy days of autumn are a continual inspiration. Having been born in Alberta, the foothills and mountains beyond, are still my most favorite subject.
Icy Elbow Falls
Have done numerous paintings of Elbow Falls, it’s fun using different palettes. And a subdued painting with less intense hues appeals more to my personal sense of aesthetics.
Afternoon Surf Chesterman Beach
A popular surfing location, Chesterman Beach inspired me to create another painting of the amazing surf.
